 Artemis Fowl book summary

Artemis Fowl is 12 years old in the first volume. He is a genius who puts his talents at the service of crime: his father, who disappeared two years ago during the sinking of the ship "Fowl Star" in Kola Bay in Russia,

was an important figure in the middle of the international underworld. . . . . . . . . . . Artemis, in search of a little used vein to raise money, discovers the existence, hitherto kept secret, of the Fairy People. He suspected their existence and succeeded in obtaining their book. To achieve his ends, he struggles to decipher the Book of the Fairy People,

written in a foreign language (the gnome), in order to discover the means of extorting the famous fairy gold from them. He does not hesitate for a moment to take hostage the first fairy he meets, Holly Short, first female captain of the FAR (Armed Forces of Regulation - later FARfadet: Armed Forces of Regulation and Air Fairies of Detection) , and toughest elf.

The young boy, constantly playing with his incredible intelligence combined with the strength and science of weapons of his bodyguard Butler, will gradually change in contact with the fairies. He will mature over the adventures he will know alongside Holly Short with whom he will create a great friendship,

the centaur Foaly and various other colorful characters (like Commander Julius Root). He will also have to face terrible dangers to the point of risking his life (volumes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8)...
