Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince book summary :
In the previous four novels in the Harry Potter series, the story revolves around the main character Harry Potter. When Harry was one year old, Lord Voldemort, the most feared black magician of the time, killed Harry's parents. Voldemort also wanted to kill Harry, but for some mysterious reason Harry survived and Voldemort fell. From then on he lived with his Muggle aunt and Khalu Petunia and Vernon Darsley.
At the age of eleven, he learned about the existence of the magic world and was admitted to Hogwarts School. He befriends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger and paves the way for Voldemort's return to power. The following year someone opens a chamber of secrets located in a school and a basilisk continues to attack students. Harry kills Basilisk and blocks another way for Voldemort to return.
The following year, Harry learns that Azkaban's broken-down prisoner, Sirius Black, has targeted Harry. In this situation the security of the school is strengthened. But in the end, Sirius Black is not the real culprit, he is Harry's godfather. Harry took part in the Triwizard Tournament, a dangerous magic competition in his fourth year.
At the end of the tournament, Harry witnessed Voldemort's return. The following year, the Ministry of Magic appointed Dolores Umbridge as a high-powered investigator at Hogwarts. During this time, Harry and his friends formed Dumbledore's Army, a secret organization against Umbridge. Towards the end of the year, Harry and his friends fight the Death Eaters and win for a little while.
Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger are back in their sixth year at Hogwarts School. This year, Severus Snape became a teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts. Horace Slaghorn, on the other hand, replaced Snape as a teacher of potency.
It was at this time that Harry discovered that Half-Blood Prince, the previous owner of his clothing book, had added, subtracted, and refined many things in the book; Through which Harry became the best of the class and became Slaghorn's favorite student. Slaghorn thought Harry was the Chosen One that would be able to defeat Lord Voldemort.
Harry, meanwhile, feels that he is attracted to Ginny Weasley. But he decides not to move forward because it risks ruining his friendship with Ron. Ron, meanwhile, begins dating Lavender Brown | Lavender Brown, which cools his relationship with Hermione.
Hermione, however, was secretly attracted to Ron. Their relationship was back to normal when Ron was about to die after drinking poisonous mead. This toxic midget was actually sent to Albus Dumbledore. Harry suspects that Draco is responsible for Malfoy. Although no one believes him.
Throughout the year, in private lessons, Dumbledore continues to show Harry various memories of Voldemort's past through his pencil. A memory from Slughorn proves Dumbledore's suspicions to be true, that Voldemort divides his soul into seven parts in order to gain immortality. This fragment of the soul is called the hookcracks. To kill Voldemort, you must first destroy these hookcracks.
Two of these hookcracks have already been destroyed, Tom Riddle's Diary and Marvolo Gaunt's Ring. The diary destroyed Harry and the ring Dumbledore. The remaining Horcruxes are the Snake Nagini of Voldemort and the assets of the founders of Hogwarts: a locket of Salazar Slytherin, a cup of Helga Hufflepuff, and an object of Godric Gryffindor or Rowena Ravenclaw.
Meanwhile, despite Harry's absence for detention, Gryffindor House became the Quidditch champion, and in its aftermath, a relationship developed between Harry and Ginny.
Towards the end of the book, Dumbledore learns of Voldemort's whereabouts of another Hookcracks and accompanies Harry to rescue it. That was Slytherin's pendant hookcracks. They were able to rescue the locket by crossing various obstacles. Upon his return to Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy knocks Dumbledore into the Astronomy Tower.
Earlier, Dumbledore hypnotized Harry under the cloak of disappearance. But Draco was not able to kill Dumbledore. Eventually Severus Snape arrives at the scene and kills Dumbledore. The Death Eaters then fight members of the Order of the Phoenix and they are forced to flee Hogwarts. Just before leaving Hogwarts, Snape reveals that Snape is actually The Half-Blood Prince.
When Harry picks up the locket from Dumbledore's corpse, he realizes that it is not a real Slytherin locket; Rather a fake locket. A man named R. A. B. (later known as Regulus Black) stole the original locket, the Horcrux, and left a fake locket there.
The year ended with Dumbledore's funeral. He was buried next to the school. At this point, Harry decides to end the relationship with Ginny, because, if Ginny is associated with Harry, Voldemort will target Ginny. Then, Harry, Ron, and Hermione decide not to return to school the following year to find the remaining hookcracks.
