Using powerful magic and swordsmanship, they take on irresistible wizards, world-destroying demons, and the occasional unfortunate bandit. The anime series is considered one of the most popular in the 1990s.

 Slayers book summary

 The plot tells about the adventures of the main character, the powerful and famous sorceress Lina Invers. His main entertainment is the robbery of bandits. During one of these robberies, an ancient artifact falls into her hands,

 because of which the hunt begins for her. Soon, the warrior Gauri Gabriyev joins her, at first mistaking Lina for a defenseless girl in need of protection, but eventually becoming her constant companion.

In Season 2, the Slayers go in search of the Bible, a legendary ancient manuscript with miraculous powers, and find themselves embroiled in a powerful demonic civil war in which each side wants to use Lina as a pawn in their game. The mistake of the heroes threatens the end of the world.

In the third season, the heroes go beyond the magical barrier created by demons in time immemorial and destroyed with the death of one of them. They will learn the tragic history of the Golden and Ancient Dragons and fight a threat summoned from another world.

In the fourth season, the heroes, who originally went in search of a magical artifact, find themselves embroiled in the political intrigues of the kingdom of Ruvingald. Fighting their consequences, Lina and her friends learn the history of the mysteriously disappeared state and decide to help its surviving ruler.

In the fifth season, the heroes are looking for the cup of the Lord of Hell Fibrizzo, in which the soul of Rezo is imprisoned.
